Wellness Roots Acupuncture & Massage Therapy, PLLC (formerly Wellness Roots Healing Arts) was founded by Liz DiNapoli Lemire, a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, licensed Acupuncturist, and licensed Massage Therapist. Like many of us, Liz once suffered from chronic health concerns that affected her daily life including migraines, allergies, asthma, eczema, TMJ disorder, digestive issues, sleeping issues, and neck and back pain.

Growing increasingly frustrated with the state of her health and its negative effects on her life, Liz began exploring Acupuncture, Ancient Chinese Medicine, and Massage Therapy. Through these powerful holistic healthcare practices, Liz experienced extraordinary relief from her physical symptoms and a profound evolution of her body-mind-spirit.

Her experiences as a patient are what drove her to become a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and a Massage Therapist, so that she could help others like she had been helped.Over the years, Liz has personally struggled with Lyme Disease, which was later followed by the diagnosis of a rare autoimmune condition.
Services
Having been practiced in China for over 2,000 years, rather than thinking of Acupuncture as alternative medicine, it would be more appropriate to think of it as "The Original Medicine."
The Ancient Chinese discovered the relationship between "Qi" (the life force energy found in all living things and in nature) and health and illness.
When Qi is abundant and flowing properly, there is health, good energy, sound sleep, and overall well-being of the body-mind-spirit.
When Qi is low or unable to flow properly, it may lead to pain, fatigue, poor sleep, physical illness, and emotional stress.

In 2003, the World Health Organization (WHO) published a report entitled "Acupuncture: Review and Analysis of Reports on Controlled Clinical Trials."
The report cited conditions for which acupuncture proved to be an effective treatment during clinical research trials.
Below is a list that includes conditions cited in the WHO report along with other conditions that have withstood the test of time (over thousands of years) to become generally accepted as responding well to acupuncture.
This list is not exhaustive.
