Elizabeth Kominami is a Board Certified Herbalist and Acupuncturist in the State of California, and a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine through the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.) Drawing on the time-honored practice of traditional Chinese Medicine, modern functional medicine, and food therapy, Elizabeth offers an integrative approach to healthcare.
At the core of this approach is the philosophy that optimal health is best achieved by using supportive measures which encourage the body to heal itself. Elizabeth's interest in Eastern medicine began while doing volunteer work at Greenwich Hospital's Center for Integrative Medicine in her hometown of Greenwich, CT. Here, she was able to see the benefits of an integrative health model in which non-invasive interventions, using both Eastern and Western medicine, was the focus of care.
She went on to earn a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in NYC and San Diego.

Services
Acupuncture is a natural healing therapy in which very fine, sterile needles are inserted along various points of the body.
Among its most powerful benefits, acupuncture has been shown to promote a restful state of mind, provide pain relief, and reduce both local and systemic inflammation.
This therapy is an excellent choice for the treatment of anxiety, stress, as well as all kinds of pain.
While acupuncture, here in the US, may be most known for treating musculoskeletal injuries, acupuncture is also very effective for treating migraines, headaches, digestive disorders, painful periods, and even hormonal imbalances.
