Good health begins with good digestion. If you experience embarrassing and painful symptoms of bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation, and/or acid reflux, know that you are not alone. 70 million Americans suffer with digestive disorders. My mission is to bring awareness to the brain/gut connection. Many people are unaware that most mental health afflictions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD and other mood disorders have a direct connection with the gut.

When the gut's microbiome becomes balanced and leaky gut is healed with the help of Chinese herbs and supplements, brain fog, fatigue, headaches, insomnia and the aforementioned health issues clear up, too. There are over 30 neurotransmitters, such as serotonin and dopamine, that are produced in the gut. These neurotransmitters directly affect mood, focus, energy levels, and overall brain health.

The entire gut lining is covered in nerves called the enteric nervous system. Acupuncture helps put the enteric nervous system in a state of ease to help with the "rest and digest" phase of the parasympathetic nervous system.

As a child, Lesha grew up suffering from IBS, not knowing what she had until she was diagnosed in early adulthood.
It negatively impacted many aspects of her life.
In addition to the pain and nausea of intermittent diarrhea and constipation, the embarrassment that accompanied the constant gas and frequent trips to the bathroom impacted her self-esteem, social life, and work life.
After receiving immediate and amazing results from an acupuncture treatment for a pinched nerve that had left her temporarily incapacitated, she later decided to seek treatment for IBS with traditional Chinese medicine.
