A complete diagnosis is performed and consists of corroboration of a comprehensive past medical history, a physical evaluation by traditional medical examination and also the traditional Chinese medicine methods of diagnosis by examination of the pulse, the tongue and ear point detection by Pointer Excel 2. If the condition requires the physician will order lab tests or imaging, or ask for the results if those were already done recently.
The established diagnosis is followed by the treatment planning, which is individualized and specific to each patient's condition.
