Tucson Community Acupuncture
At Tucson Community Acupuncture you will receive a customized treatment from one of our skilled practitioners in a safe and supportive group setting while you relax in a comfy chair. We keep our prices low so you can get acupuncture as often as you need to feel well. Community acupuncture is a nationwide movement to create access to acupuncture by removing the barrier of cost from healing.

We are part of an international cooperative called People's Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA). POCA clinics offer treatment in a group setting and charge on a sliding scale format. You can become part of this movement to reform healthcare by joining POCA! I have tried quitting smoking several times over the past six months and believe the multiple treatments I had at TCA have helped me finally kick the habit.

Big thank you! I went in last week with a majorly tweaked neck that had been spasming off and on for a couple weeks. Larry hooked me up one day, Keith needled me the next and-magic!
Services
Acupuncture has been a community based medicine for most of its long history.
In Asia, acupuncture has traditionally been practiced in group rather than individual settings.
For acupuncture to be most effective, patients need to receive it frequently and regularly-far more frequently and regularly than most insurance plans will pay for.
As acupuncture has moved toward the mainstream, it has been forced into a paradigm of one-on-one treatments and high prices, which has decreased not only patient access but treatment efficacy.
Our mission has always been to provide affordable acupuncture to our community.
We know that acupuncture can work to help alleviate many of the different health issues that afflict us.
We do not ask for any sort of income verification.
We want you to come in often enough to really get better and stay better!
Tucson Community Acupuncture provides high quality acupuncture treatment at affordable rates in a supportive community setting.
We practice a style of acupuncture that mostly uses "distal" points in the hands, feet and head to treat problems anywhere in the body-meaning we will probably treat pain in your back by placing tiny needles in your hands.
Many studies have shown acupuncture to effective for a number of conditions, but no one is certain 100% about how it works.
At the simplest level, acupuncture helps bring the body back into balance and facilitate its own healing mechanisms.
From a Western medical perspective, acupuncture may modulate the bodies inflammatory response, initiate the "relaxation response" by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, relieving pain and releasing endorphins.
We do not do any direct billing of insurance companies or other third parties.
Tucson Community Acupuncture is located in "The Village on Broadway" shopping center at 2900 E. Broadway (Suite 170) next to Laffs Comedy Club (south side of Broadway between Country Club and Tucson Blvd).
Please note that we recently moved our lobby one door down (closer to Laffs).
The easiest way to find us is to head under the archway toward the the entrance for Laffs Comedy Club (southeast corner of the plaza) and look for our door on your left.
Ample parking is available, as well as bike racks.
I've been in full-time practice at TCA since 2008 when I helped open the clinic with Keith.
I'm a Class of 2007 graduate from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City, and have a lot of training and experience with trigger point or "dry needling", as well as the more traditional and ancient needling methods.
I'd be happy to meet with you to discuss how using acupuncture might be of help to you.
Keith co-founded Tucson Community Acupuncture with Larry in 2008, after earning a Master of Acupuncture degree from the Asian Institute of Medical Studies in 2006.
