Herbal medicine is one of the prime treatment methods within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Chinese herbal medicine is a holistic medicine that focuses on treating both the root cause of the condition, as well as the symptoms.
The root cause is determined through an individualized pattern diagnosis.
The patient receives an herbal prescription designed specifically for their physical condition based upon the pattern diagnosis.
Herbs are then typically administered in the form of teas, powders or pills.
