I currently serve residents of Monterey County California and surrounding areas, although my remote work via telephone and email is starting to gain traction. I practice a type of "Distal Point Acupuncture" known as "The Balance Method" developed by Richard Tan O.M.D. Distal Point Acupuncture is over 2,500 years old and is derived from Classic Chinese concepts including the "I Ching", one of the oldest books in the world, the "Ba Qua" or "Eight Directions", and the polarity known as "Yin and Yang".
With the Balance Method, the acupuncture points used are predominantly located from the elbows to the fingers, and from the knees to the toes. I do also use some points on the head, ears, and elsewhere.
