When I added Chinese herbal medicine to my treatments I was again amazed by their power and effectiveness.
Chinese herbs worked on a different level, in a different way than acupuncture, but they were incredibly effective.
Over the course of the next several years acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine helped me manage my menstrual pain, avoid surgery, start sleeping better, eliminate my digestive problems, eliminate my acne, reduce the frequency and intensity of my migraines and generally feel calmer, more optimistic and less "stuck" in my life.
Michelle is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine to practice Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
She received her Master's of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from New England School of Acupuncture in 2006.
Michelle is a general practitioner and has practiced acupuncture and herbal medicine in a number of medical and public health settings, including Fenway Community Health Center in Boston, MA and Winchester Family Medical Center in Woburn, MA.
She has advanced postgraduate training in acupuncture and herbal medicine, as well as over 20 years of experience in medical qigong, yoga and meditation.
Art is a gift that can elevate the human spirit.
Art takes us out of our heads and forces us to pay attention to the present moment.
It encourages us to look up and expand our view as it presents snapshots of life, color, form, sound and feeling which may otherwise go unnoticed.
Art allows us to bask in the beauty (and also sometimes in the ugliness) of our world, its people, shapes, sounds and forms.
It allows us to get out of heads and do more than just survive-it extends a hand to us and invites us to thrive in the gift of this life.
Acupuncture has been helping people reach their highest potential for over 3,000 years.
If you are suffering from pain, stress, migraines, allergies, infertility or hormonal imbalances or if you have a child that is struggling with asthma, ADD/ADHD, digestive problems or anxiety, acupuncture offers a drug-free, time-tested and natural solution for these problems and many others.
Acupuncture addresses both the symptoms and the root of health problems, treating a large number of physical and emotional disorders with minimal to no side-effects.
If you suffer from seasonal or year round allergies, you know how frustrating and disruptive it can be to your daily life.
Maybe you have a constant runny nose or sinus congestion leading to frequent sinus infections and antibiotics.
Maybe your child is struggling with constant nasal congestion or asthma and you hate the idea that they'll be on medications for the rest of their lives.
Maybe you dread spring and the constant eye itching, sneezing and runny nose that the season brings, even while on allergy meds.
