Ahuti F. Ferid was born in Munich, Germany, and from the age of ten traveled with her family all over Europe, including North Africa.
She graduated from the University of Munich with an MS in biology/bio-chemistry in 1976.
Supported by a grant, she did three years of research at the medical school in Istanbul Capa, Turkey.
She returned to Berlin and worked there as a legal translator for the Turkish language and a science teacher for the education of young Turkish students.
In 1984, Ahuti came to the US to join a spiritual commune in Oregon.
