I was lucky enough to grow up in Telluride, CO where I received my first acupuncture treatment at age 15. In 2007 I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado in Boulder. I began my four years of study at Southwest Acupuncture College immediately after. While in school I began an apprenticeship at the office of Aloha Wellness under a world-renowned local acupuncturist who practices the Japanese style of Oriental medicine, Dr. Jeffrey Dann.
I graduated with a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine in 2011 and now own White Peony Acupuncture. I am board certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine Dipl. O.M.) by the National Committee of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and am a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac) in the state of Colorado. My continued acupuncture studies took me to different schools and clinics in Japan in 2011 and 2014.
I practice both at Aloha Wellness in south Boulder and in nearby Lyons, CO. Though my schooling trained me in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), I now specialize in Japanese acupuncture, which is by contrast much gentler.
