Harmonizing Healthcare is a holistic clinic that is dedicated to optimizing the health, well-being, and quality of life of every person who walks through the door. We welcome all ages from infants to geriatrics and can adapt to meet your individual needs. We have three board certified acupuncturists on staff that have Master's degrees in Oriental Medicine and a fourth practitioner that is a doctor of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
Asian Medicine, or also known as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is a whole comprehensive healthcare system of its own. Once you are given a TCM diagnosis, you are then treated with acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, TCM dietary and lifestyle suggestions, and any other modality that may be necessary for your treatment. Modalities that may be used during an acupuncture treatment include cupping, moxa, gua sha, E-stim, Qi gong, and tuina.
You also receive an individualized treatment plan that explains your TCM diagnosis and what you can do to harmonize yourself between treatments after an initial acupuncture appointment.

Acupuncture is a 3000 year old medicine first recorded in China and is one aspect of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) or sometimes referred to as Oriental Medicine, which is a more broad term that also encompasses Japanese and Korean techniques as well.
Acupuncture works by harmonizing the body's functions and therefore promoting the natural self-healing process of the body.
This is done by stimulating specific acupuncture points, or "acupoints" that are chosen based on each individual patient's Chinese medical diagnosis.

The body is inherently a system of seamless networks of tissues, rather than a collection of separate parts.
These connective tissues surround, support, and penetrate all of the muscles, bones, nerves, and organs.

But in case you haven't, or are still unsure of exactly what it is, this newsletter should help you gain a better understanding of what it really is and why it is so important.
