Traditional East Asian medicine goes back thousands of years and focuses on bringing the body back into balance.
Rather than aiming merely to relieve symptoms, East Asian medicine sees "becoming healthy" as returning the body and mind to a balanced state.
Thus, as an East Asian medical practitioner, in addition to relieving you of your symptoms (the "branch, " such as a sore back or headache), my goal is also to identify the fundamental cause of those symptoms (the "root", such as an underlying organ deficiency).

Trigger Point Dry Needling Acupuncture (TrPDNA) is a technique of resolving pain and compromised function by needling specific bands of tissue in muscle which are in a state of hyper-engagement.
These taut bands contain what are called "trigger points" which are areas in the muscle with restricted blood flow, lower oxygen saturation, and a lower (i.e., more acidic) pH.
These circumstances lead to neurological responses leading to discomfort and altered function of the muscle.
The intent of TrPDNA is to change the structure of the local trigger points by using an acupuncture needle directed at the center of the point.

Massage is one of the most relaxing healthcare options for fostering wellness and one of the most effective for addressing pain arising from soft tissue injury or malfunction in the body.
This is one of the most common types of massage therapy.
Swedish massage involves rubbing and kneading of the hands and includes a combination of soft, long kneading strokes and light, rhythmic tapping strokes.
It can relieve muscle tension and help after an injury.
This method applies pressure to deep tissue, muscles, and tendons, using rubbing and kneading of the hands.

I teach Hatha Yoga, a physical practice of poses focusing on breath and movement, woven into a philosophy that is thousands of years old.
Through my studies with various teachers, I have developed a style that incorporates Western anatomy, movement and Eastern philosophy into a safe but challenging alignment-based practice.
I work with each of my clients to tailor practices in order to suit their individual needs.
Yoga can be as simple as using the practice to refine the alignment in a particular pose and as complex as a way to connect with the world around us.

Constitutional facial acupuncture, also known as "constitutional facial rejuvenation, " is a method of moderating the effects of aging through Chinese medicine, including acupuncture, cupping, topical herbal applications, and massage.
Through this variety of modalities, the intention is to soften lines, tone your skin, and revitalize your face.
As the face is a reflection of the overall health of your body, your constitution is treated as well as your face during each facial acupuncture session.
