Services
Our vision is to carry the spirit of community acupuncture through the entire business.
This led to BAC being organized as a co-operative and a sociocracy because these models embody the values of community, equality, accountability, and transparency to name a few.
BAC is governed by an autonomous group of volunteers to meet the economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations of our community as they relate to acupuncture.
Our co-op members, our board, our employees, and our volunteers co-manage BAC with the mission to share the benefits of our services with our surrounding community.
Your acupunks are licensed in the State of Idaho and have passed the NCCAOM board exams.
They maintain annual continuing education credits per Idaho Acupuncture Board and are trained in proper needle technique.
Your acupunks also have specialized training in treating in a community setting, practicing trauma-informed and culturally appropriate care, and always aim to give effective and empowering healthcare to all.
DaLyn has been getting acupuncture since 2010 after aggravating a chronic back injury that year.
We are able to do what we do because of our volunteers.
They are the reason we can offer affordable acupuncture, seven days a week.
Our volunteers manage the front desk, wash laundry and clean the clinic.
Without their service and dedication, we could not help as many people.
We are amazed by the power of community and the people who step up and give their time and energy to Boise Acupuncture Co-op (BAC).
If you have had at least 5 treatments with us, love community acupuncture and are interested in joining the team by becoming a volunteer, please Contact us! Check out our open volunteer positions here!
Each population of BAC has equal power in decision making - our Board consists of an employee representative, patient representatives and volunteer representatives.
The Board is a sociocratic, autonomous governing body that meets quarterly to ensure BAC stays true to our mission, vision, and values by overseeing all decisions aside from day-to-day operations.
In our effort to be completely transparent with the community, all meeting minutes are open to the public, anyone can attend Board meetings, and anyone can apply for an open position on the Board.
Being a community acupuncture clinic is more than just an arrangement of chairs.
It's a relationship with you, our community.
We rely on you to support the clinic so we, in turn, can support the health and well being of our community with acupuncture.
We hope that you feel part of this community from the minute you walk through the door.
As a 501c3 organization, we rely on our community to help with running BAC.
We rely on volunteers to run the manage the clinic in many ways!
These include: being involved in our Board, running the front desk, doing clinic laundry, and cleaning.
