Energy, in traditional Chinese often referred as "qi". While acupuncture as a key component of traditional Chinese, along with other Chinese medication treatments like cupping and moxibustion, which help patients to manipulating the energy, reduce pain, and prevent illness. Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction, which increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. Dr. Qiling (pronounced "chee-ling") Lu was the chief of acupuncture in Chinese Medical Hospital in Yulin, Guangxi, China for 17 years.

After she moved to the United States, Dr. Lu received NCCAOM certification and is licensed in Arizona as an acupuncturist and herbalist. She served as a consultant for more than 15 years at Phoenix Indian Medical Center as part of a comprehensive team approach to pain management.
