Chinese Medicine theory states that when we harmonize our unique constitutions with the environment around us, we are healthy. Achieving that balance takes careful observation and some work. To support that effort, we offer Acupuncture, Tai Chi, and Integrative Medicine. Chinese Medicine is a comprehensive medical system that works to bring all parts of the self into balance.
Mary Lynn uses many branches of Chinese Medicine -acupuncture, massage, cupping, topical and internal herbs as well as dietary, lifestyle, and exercise counseling. She also uses homeopathy and Frequency Specific Microcurrent to gently assist healing. Mary Lynn has practiced martial arts and tai chi for more than 30 years. She teaches Yang style Tai Chi Chuan in Berkeley on Thursdays.
Through the practice of the form, there is increased micro-circulation and the development of stronger qi/energy. Her students report a sense of calm focus, increased strength, balance, and fun. Mary Lynn integrates Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine, utilizing Western anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and Western physical exams to enhance her Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis and treatment plans.
