Philadelphia Community Acupuncture
Village Acupuncture Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation doing business as Philadelphia Community Acupuncture. We are committed to providing affordable and effective acupuncture treatments in a comfortable group setting. Our sliding scale is $20-40. There is a one-time new patient fee of $10. You decide what you can afford. The purpose of our sliding scale is to separate the issues of money and treatment; we want you to come in often enough to really get better and stay better!

We understand that everyone's situation is different, and our primary goal is to make acupuncture available to you as often as you need it. We are SO excited to share this fundraising campaign! Over the past couple years, Coalicion Fortaleza Latina Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Community Acupuncture have been partnering together in a variety of ways.

Our latest project has been taking Community Acupuncture directly to the Spanish-speaking immigrant community in Montgomery County, removing as many barriers to care as possible.
Services
Philadelphia Community Acupuncture operates on a sliding scale of $20-40 with a one-time new patient fee of $10.
We treat people in a group setting, in comfortable recliner chairs where treatment times are usually around 45 minutes.
Most US acupuncturists treat patients on tables in individual cubicles.
This is not traditional in Asia, where acupuncture usually occurs in a community setting.
In our clinic we primarily use recliners grouped in a large, quiet soothing space.
Treating patients in a community setting has many benefits: it's easy for friends and family members to come in for treatment together; many patients find it comforting; and a collective energetic field becomes established which actually makes individual treatments more powerful.
Philadelphia Community Acupuncture treats a wide variety of conditions including stress and its side effects, back pain, any pain, allergies, digestive issues, and problems with sleep.
Chronic & acute pain- Also known as the number one reason to see an acupuncturist.
Conditions such as joint and muscle pain, nerve pain, bone pain, fibromyalgia, arthritis, as well as headaches and other discomforts.
Most conditions with a "pain" component to them will respond well to acupuncture.
Gynecological and Urological issues - including benign prostatic hypertrophy, endometriosis, PCOS, menstrual difficulties, and menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes.

Our mission is to provide affordable, accessible, and easy-to-use healthcare options for everyone in our community through acupuncture and herbal medicine.
Our purpose is to improve the quality of life for our patients and their families by providing substantial support for their health, including relief of pain, reduction in the frequency, duration, and intensity of distressing symptoms, and prevention of the onset of acute and chronic diseases.
Does acupuncture hurt? and other questions like How does acupuncture work? are answered here.
If your child is developmentally able to remain seated quietly for a brief period of time (typically 20 minutes for most children), all of our acupuncturists will be glad to see them in the Community Treatment Room.
We find that many children, beginning around 9 years old, are able to be treated in this manner.
Of course you know your child best!
If you have any questions about whether acupuncture at PCA is appropriate for your child, please feel free to ask us!
Our health history form, welcome letter, and informed consent are all available in both English and Spanish.
Please read the Welcome letter first, as it provides essential information regarding how our clinic functions and will answer many of your questions.
You may also wish to print this out for your own reference.
Please print and fill out the Health History Form, Informed Consent, and Patient Responsibility Policy and bring them with you to your first appointment.
Community Acupuncture depends upon your support.
