Having grown up in Michigan, Dr. Dakin received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Michigan State University.
After moving to California, Dr. Dakin spent six years immersed in the study of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs at the California Acupuncture College in Los Angeles, CA.
She acquired her undergraduate degree and became licensed by the state of California receiving her L.Ac.
She then went on to receive the advanced degree in her field, the Doctorate of Oriental Medicine, O.M.D. in 1987.
In addition, Dr. Dakin has had advanced training by Masters in Nan Jing, China.
