Tess Bois has practiced acupuncture for nearly 20 years. She has given over 20,000 treatments. In case you were wondering, that's a ton of treatments! She opened One World Acupuncture in 2008 in Fitchburg and moved to Leominster in 2014 so if you find the phone number exchange "342" puzzling, it's a holdover from working in Fitchburg. She brings a wealth of experience in health and wellness and is dedicated to helping her community find good health through acupuncture and occasionally herbs or supplements as needed.
Services
All surfaces that are most often touched (doors knobs, front desk, bathroom area) will be sanitized through out the day.
Hand sanitizer is alcohol based.
If that is a problem, a vigorous washing with soap and water (sing happy birthday twice) is easily done in either of 2 sinks in the office (back room and the restroom).
Acupuncturist will use hand sanitizer or hand washing between patients or if touching non-sterile surface.
Patients need to come alone unless scheduled with another patient (family member most likely).

Acupuncture has been around for literally thousands of years.
Evidence of its practice can be seen in caves with ancient carvings in China dating back 5,000 years.
Modern acupuncture (an early version of the small disposable single use needles we use today) has been around since the 19th century.
Acupuncture practitioners use thin, sterile disposable needles inserted superficially into specific areas of the body in order to initiate healing and promote health.
These specific points help to create a more energetic balance in the body.

I had a frozen shoulder for roughly a year.
For those of you not familiar with this it is one of the most painful conditions that a person can endure.
The pain is insidious and ceaseless - especially at night.
I can honestly say that it was truly debilitating.
Simple daily living skills such as pulling up my own pants were beyond me and at 47yrs old that's no way to live.
Non-stop pain legitimately drained me of all enthusiasm for anything.
It was all I could do to make it through each 24hrs.
I read somewhere that frozen shoulder pain could be relieved through acupuncture, so even though I'm a GIANT needle phobe I was desperate enough to give it a try.
