Services
My journey to holistic medicine began when I was struck by a car while bicycling.
For 10 years I struggled with chronic debilitating back and neck pain.
Up until this point I had lived a life of physical exercise and Outdoor adventure.
I was working with Outward Bound spending my days and nights backpacking the mountains in Maryland and Virgina, sailing the Chesapeake Bay, and canoeing the rivers of Florida.
Out in the wilderness for a month at a time with troubled youth and school groups.
My 'vacation' was leading bike tours through the mountains of Vermont and Maine.
Oriental medicine is a very comprehensive system of medicine that is capable of diagnosing and effectively treating a wide range of conditions.
It works with your body to produce true healing instead of suppressing symptoms.
Neurological conditions such as headaches, migraines, difficulty sleeping, nervous tension, stroke, some forms of deafness, facial and inter-costal neuralgia, trigeminal neuralgia, some forms of paralysis, sequelae of poliomyelitis, peripheral neuropathy, noises in the ears, dizziness, and Meniere's disease.
Is there anything I should know for my first appointment?
A. For your first appointment, be sure to wear loose comfortable clothing and eat something at least one hour beforehand.
Your first appointment will last an hour and a half, with all other appointments lasting one hour.
The first half of the appointment will be a thorough interview process as we discuss the main reasons for your visit and all else relating to your health, past and present.
We will end the session with the acupuncture, in which the needles are retained for about 25 minutes.
With the rising cost of healthcare, many individuals are unable to get the help they need.
Because of this, I have started Community Acupuncture which allows the budget conscious individual get the care they need.
Community Acupuncture is acupuncture treatments that occur in a group setting which allows for a lower price.
Share the room with a maximum of two other individuals.
Quiet, spa environment with cushioned zero gravity chairs, soft music and aromatherapy.
Community Acupuncture is currently by request only.
