At Bamboo Wisdom Acupuncture, we provide the modern application of ancient healing wisdom.
Both China and Japan's cultures have long regarded bamboo as a defining element because it provides the means to sustain all aspects of human life, including food and shelter.
Bamboo is the most popular plant in China, where it is considered a gentleman with perfect virtues.
It combines upright integrity with accommodating flexibility, and it has the perfect balance of grace and strength, or Yin and Yang.
Acupuncture is a system of complementary medicine based on the stimulation of special points near the surface of the skin.
Its purpose is to help restore health and wellbeing by adjusting and balancing the energy flow and functions of the body's system.
Acupuncture is commonly used to alleviate pain and to treat various physical, mental, and emotional conditions.
At Bamboo Wisdom Acupuncture, we provide each of clients with personalized treatment to promote their overall health.
Each client will stay in a quiet and comfortable private room.
Community acupuncture is practiced in a group, rather than individual settings.
Group acupuncture originates from the way acupuncture was historically practiced in Asia.
The treatments of Community acupuncture are primarily on the front of the body and mainly on distal points (legs, arms, hands, feet, ears, etc.).
You will relax in a nice comfy chair for an hour or so.
Group setting is very suitable for families or friends having treatments together.
At Bamboo Wisdom Acupuncture, one of our goals is to provide quality affordable care to everyone.
We provide specialized, non-insertion acupuncture treatment options for infants and children.
It is called Japanese Shonishin Pediatric Acupuncture.
Shonishin pediatric acupuncture is a highly specialized form of treatment therapy for infants and children that originated in Japan about 400 years ago.
Shonishin needles are not inserted at all but are instead lightly touched to the skin.
The treatment consists of pressing, rubbing, tapping, or light scraping of the skin to provide a gentle stimulation that will improve the severity of the child's current symptoms as well as strengthen their overall constitution.
