During the initial exam a full health history is taken.
Questions are asked regarding health, symptoms and lifestyle.
An appropriate physical exam is conducted, including pulse and tongue diagnosis (if indicated).
Gathering this information enables the practitioner to effectively diagnose and detect any specific imbalances of Qi that may have contributed to a persons health problems.
The practitioner can then create a well-structured treatment plan.
Once the imbalances of Qi are detected, an acupuncturist will place fine, sterile needles at specific acupoints along meridian pathways.

Eric Hunstad is the co-founder, co-owner, and Clinical Director of the Titusville Acupuncture Wellness Center.
Eric Hunstad is a Titusville native and a graduate from Cocoa Beach High School.
He attended the University of Central Florida for his undergraduate degree, and obtained his graduate degree from the Florida College of Integrative Medicine in Orlando, Florida.
Dr. Hunstad is a firm believer in continuing education.
He remains on the leading edge of innovation in acupuncture by constantly learning both deeply traditional rarely seen techniques and modern medical acupuncture discoveries.
