We are currently seeing a chronic pain epidemic across this country. Acupuncture is a safe, effective, and drug-free treatment for most pain conditions such as TMJ, back, neck, and shoulder pain, and fibromyalgia. Acupunture stimulates the body's own pain-relieving mechanisms and is part of the solution to today's chronic pain edpidemic. At his Seattle acupuncture office Robert has helped thousands of clients recover from injuries sustained at work, in motor vehicle accidents, and from athletic activities.

Acupuncture can reduce pain and inflammation associated with injuries, broken bones, and surgery and speed rehabilitation and recovery time. Acupuncture is an effective tool for treating common sports injuries such as rotator-cuff injuries, tendonitis, muscle strain, running injuries including plantar facicists, arthritis and patellar tendonitis, weight-lifting injuries like back strain and herniated discs.

Additionally, acupuncture may increase stamina and improve athletic performance.
Services
Acupuncture is a safe and effective holistic system of healing originating from China that has been practiced for over two thousand years.
By inserting very fine needles into specific points on the body, acupuncture activates the innate qi (life force) and helps the body to heal itself in a holistic and natural way.
Acupuncture relieves pain and treats disease by restoring the normal flow of energy in the body.
According to traditional Chinese medicine philosophy, good health depends on maintaining strong vital force (Qi) and maintaining balance between the dynamic polarity of Yin and Yang energy in the body.
Ankle sprains are one of the common common sports injuries across many different kinds of sports activities.
Once sprained a weakened ankle can become prone to continued sprains and strains.
Fortunately Acupuncture excels in the treatment of acute ankle sprain and also chronic ankle pain.
A series of 5-10 sessions can often result in reducing pain and acute inflammation and dramatically speeding recovery time.
A series of acupuncture sessions can also help to improve chronic ankle pain from repeated injury or arthritis.
Anxiety is a state of fear and/or worry that can impede our daily functioning and cause significant symptoms that effect our health.
Some anxiety is a normal part of living in the modern world, but chronic anxiety that causes symptoms such as irritability, insomnia, muscle tension and pain and many other symptoms, is a serious health issue that requires treatment.
Acupuncture has been shown to reduce blood pressure, slow the pulse rate and induce a deep sense of calm and relaxation.
Consistent acupuncture treatment can effectively treat most cases of mild to moderate anxiety and in some cases even help clients reduce or replace anxiety medication.
Back pain is one of the most common issues treated by acupuncture.
Low back pain can have a wide variety of causes such as sports injuries, heavy lifting and common muscle strain, muscle tightness and compression causing disk herniation and nerve compression as well as stress, life challenges and emotional distress.
Acupuncture can help resolve low back pain by releasing tension from the muscles, reducing pain, inflammation and stiffness and increasing mobility and flexibility.
Acupuncture is also effective for treating herniated disks and pain from nerve compression and in some cases may help clients to avoid surgery and reduce or discontinue pain medications.
Acute and/or chronic Fatigue and Exhaustion are common issues I see in my Seattle Acupuncture clinic.
This can be due to stress, overwork or over training in sports and working out.
It can be due to lack of sleep or an imbalance on the Adrenal Gland or Thyroid Gland.
In some cases a low grade viral infection such as Epstein/Barr Syndrome, or Post Viral malaise may be part of the problem.
In Chinese medicine this is often referred to as a Qi or Yang deficiency pattern.
Using a combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine and Moxabustion therapy (burning sesame seed size amounts of mugwort on specific acupuncture points) to balance the Adrenals and strengthen the Qi and Yang aspect, we can often attain great improvements in energy and physical stamina within 3-5 sessions.
