In addition to being a Board Certified Acupuncturist, Rosalie Baker Lambeth of Rosalie Baker Lambeth & Associates LLC is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with over 35 years of experience in highly specialized operating room and critical care settings. Well known for her long-standing activities in health care and related legislative issues, she has served on district, state, and national boards and committees and has lectured extensively throughout the United States on numerous health care topics.
Ms. Lambeth brings a deep understanding of and respect for the Western health care system. She has pursued post-graduate education in Traditional Acupuncture as a means of expanding the Hippocratic notion that it is more important to treat the person with the disease than to simply treat the disease itself. With a deep love of nature, Ms. Lambeth understands the power of the body's intrinsic ability to heal and return itself to homeostasis, or a place of balance.
She is also a practitioner and teacher of Qigong, a Chinese healing art similar to t'ai chi that involves a series of movements designed to cultivate the balance and movement of Qi in the body, encouraging it to flow smoothly and restoratively.

Services
Acupuncture originated over 5,000 years ago in Asia and is the oldest practiced medical system in the world.
It is known to activate the flow of natural vital energy, or Qi, which is inherent within all living things.
When Qi is balanced and sufficient in both quality and quantity and moving smoothly through you, health and wellness may be experienced.
When Qi is blocked or disordered in some manner, you may experience illness, pain, or emotional distress.
This may show up in many ways and on different levels: on the physical level as stomach or back pain; on the mental level as compulsions, forgetfulness, indecisiveness, or the ability to concentrate; or on the emotion/spirit level as resentments or chronic anger, the inablility to experience joy, or living with constant fear or sadness.

Acupuncture works by balancing the flow of Qi through energy pathways called meridians.
These Meridians or channels connect the interior of the body with the exterior, so treatment of various acupuncture points on the surface of the body will influence movement inside the body.
Because the Meridian system unifies the physical, mental, and emotion/spirit levels, patients benefit in multiple ways from Acupuncture treatment as their initial complaints are addressed and they experience a heightened sense of relaxation and well being.
