Terri's love for Oriental Medicine grew from the early macrobiotic teachings of Micho & Avaline Kushi. She operated the first macrobiotic restaurant at the San Diego East West Center, where she also taught classes for macrobiotic theory, nutrition and seasonal cooking preparation. Terri earned a Master in Acupuncture and Certificate in Chinese Herbal Studies from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture and is national board certified by the NCCAOM.
Post-graduation she studied the Shen-Hammer Contemporary Pulse Diagnosis and more recently is studying a Korean system called Saam Acupuncture based on combination of the five phases and the six conformations. Terri was raised in a family of osteopathic physicians, her grandfather was a chiropractor and her mother opened a health food store in 1976, providing a strong influence that continues to be a resource for living a healthy and mindful life.
