Rutherford Family Acupuncture is an acupuncture and Eastern medical practice. We are proudly located in Rutherfordton and are dedicated to the health and well-being of the citizens of Rutherford County and the greater Foothills region. We are committed to making acupuncture and Oriental medicine affordable to all patients in need. We specialize in offering a comprehensive, multifaceted approach to treatment, and in giving people hope for healing from difficult and chronic conditions.
Additionally, we are a family medicine practice, offering alternative health solutions for all ages, from infant to adult. We have a full Chinese herbal pharmacy, stocked with over 200 raw herbs, and capable of compounding and specialized preparations. In addition, our essential oil pharmacy has over 50 essential oils, sourced only from the highest quality brands.
We approach every person as an individual. To that end, we integrate multiple distinct styles of acupuncture, including Japanese, Classical Chinese, and TCM.

Attended New England School of Acupuncture (Newton, MA), the oldest college of acupuncture in the United States, before moving to Western NC.
Graduated from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts (Asheville, NC), a four-year Master's program in acupuncture and herbal medicine.

As part of our holistic evaluation, we will progress to a comprehensive review of your systems.
Afterwards, your practitioner will use traditional diagnostic methods to evaluate the internal state of your body, including pulse diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, and abdominal diagnosis.
By the end of the consult, you and your practitioner will have formulated a treatment plan that is tailored to you and your conditions.
