In times of pain and illness you need a dedicated professional to support you with precision and care. My first visit with Jason was in July of 2011 and I'm not exaggerating when I say that his treatment not only provided IMMEDIATE relief, but I was pain free for longer than with medication. Jason is compassionate and non-judgemental. He takes all the time that is necessary for each individual patient.

Jason was my acupuncturist working on problems with Rheumatoid Arthritis, neuropathy and diabetic blindness. The improvement in pain was excellent, allowing me to forego pain relievers. Most remarkable was the improvement in my vision, allowing me to regain my depth perception for the first time in years. Working with Jason helped me to believe that getting better was possible, and that just getting by wasn't good enough anymore.

Acupuncture is only a tool.
The person wielding the tool is responsible for what it can do.
They might have any number of models and strategies in mind.
They may be more or less aware of their technique and the range of possibilities at any given point where a needle is inserted, or of how their own mechanics and attention affect the outcome.
Acupuncture's special ability is to stimulate the body to do what it naturally does.
If it relieves pain, it is in exactly the ways that your body naturally relieves pain, but not just by regulating neurotransmitters.
Moxa is a cotton-like material that is culled from the fuzzy underside of mugwort leaves.
Moxibustion is the burning of moxa on or near the skin for therapeutic purposes.
In the Ling Shu, the foundational acupuncture text of the classical period of China, it says, "Moxibustion is suitable for what the needle cannot do."
You may know of mugwort as a stubborn weed that grows at the edge of your property and in sidewalk cracks.
These days, gardeners despise it for its ability to establish horizontal roots that survive weeding and can poison seeds of other plants.
As a living, classical tradition, Chinese herbal medicine is a storehouse of centuries of scholarship and clinical experience.
To apply it successfully depends on deep understanding of the body, a thorough clinical assessment, accurate diagnosis, and fluent knowledge of herbal formulae that is at once precise and flexible.
Like acupuncture, classical herbal medicine is designed primarily to trigger a healing response from your body based on the symptom pattern.
As with acupuncture, that makes it unlike other popular healing modalities, whether of the conventional or alternative varieties.
The truth about people is hard to know.
There is much that they will not say, and much of what they say is only partly true.
There is also much that people simply cannot say, because they themselves do not know, because many realities defy introspection.
There is no sense more certain than touch.
Every treatment relies on palpable feedback from the body, first in assessing the condition, then in confirming the effect of treatment.
Any point on the body can provide valuable information, but the primary tools in this practice are the pulses and the abdomen.
Note: Depending on the amount of herbs in your formula, you may want to use a little more or a little less water.
Aim to have about two cups of liquid after each boiling.
If you have a lot of remaining liquid, you can save it for later.
Chinese herbal medicine is designed to substantially improve your health.
The herbs are not inert.
Minor side-effects may arise, and are part of the process of honing your formula over time.
Email (or phone) support is an important part of herbal therapy.
Please drop me a note and let me know how it's going, or with any questions, no matter how small.
