East Gate was started in 1990 by Diane & Tracy Peck. Both have had many years of experience treating a wide range of conditions. The Wisdom of Chinese medicine teaches that the body-mind-spirit has a self-regulating mechanism that when given the right information allows for health, healing & vitality on all levels. To assist with this process we utilize acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Cupping, Gua Sha, Qigong and other traditional and modern approaches for the restoration of ones' health and vitality through natural means.

True harmony and health comes from following the natural ebb & flow of the seasons, as well as, the ebb & flow of life changes. When there is change or stress- internally or externally, the body-mind-spirit system can become weakened. Chinese medicine is a powerful tool for the eradication of disease, the restoration of harmony to the body-mind-spirit and as a tool for the ever evolving consciousness of the individual.

At East Gate we treat a wide range of conditions form chronic to acute, as well as pediatric to geriatric concerns.
Services
Mary graduated from the Body Therapy Institute in 1999.
She practices Swedish massage, Hungarian facial massage, hot stone massage, deep tissue, prenatal, aromatherapy massage and cupping.
She is happy to combine these modalities to customize the perfect massage for her clients.
Mary is certified in herbal medicine making from the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine and likes to create natural body care products.
Several thousand years ago, East Asian practitioners discovered that the body forms disharmonies as a result of the various physical and mental stresses of life.
Oriental medical theory explains these disharmonies as an imbalance of opposing forces called yin and yang.
This imbalance disrupts the movement of the body's vital energy (qi) along the meridian pathways, which are channels through which the body's energy is thought to flow.
Acupuncture restores the smooth flow of qi.
By inserting and manipulating needles at specific points on the body, I am able to return the body to its natural balance and promote the body's ability to heal itself.
Chinese herbs are often used in conjunction with acupuncture for added therapeutic effect.
While many cultures have herbal medicine traditions, the sophistication of Chinese herbal medicine is unsurpassed.
Chinese herbal medicine has a long history reaching back several thousand years, and the resulting system is now used to treat everything from the common cold to certain types of cancer.
You will generally receive a mixture of several different herbs in a formula that has been tailored to your condition.
What is massage therapy?
Massage therapy has been practiced in most Eastern and Western cultures throughout history, and was one of the earliest tools that people used to try to relieve pain, manage a health condition or enhance wellness.
It involves manipulating the soft tissues of the body.
After completing the forms, we will go over them to establish which areas you would like worked on and any conditions you would like addressed.
This will help us come up with a massage tailored to you.
Do I have to be completely undressed?
From the moment you enter East Gate, you are enveloped in an air of peacefulness and you intuitively feel you are in the right place!
Tracy is welcoming and immediately puts you at ease.
He truly listens and is always happy to answer questions.
He is knowledgeable, professional and personable, and has helped me through surgery, pain ailments and managing the stress of everyday life.
His gentle approach to needle placement and expertise with Chinese Herbs treats both the symptoms and underlying causes.
