Think acupuncture hurts?
Doesn't work?
The Cleveland Clinic has separated the myths from the facts.
Read below to learn the top ten myths busters.
Myth 1: Acupuncture hurts - after all, we're talking needles.
Fact: Although needles are used, they are very slender and fine (about the size of a cat whisker).
You may or may not feel an initial prick, sometimes described as a mosquito bite.
Eliminating toxins is the first step in giving the body a chance to heal itself.
Cleansing is fundamental to any health building program.
The practitioner determines the polarity setting through the use of litmus paper (pH strips) or muscle testing.
The long-term effectiveness of the IonCleanse cleansing process depends on other life-enhancing changes a person is willing to make.
Toxins come from: Our foods which are sprayed with pesticides, our water which has chlorine and fluoride, the air we breathe, our cleaning supplies, soaps, shampoos and detergents are loaded with chemicals and many have sodium laurel sulfate which is known to cause cancer.
Patient B.F. "I am amazed at the profound effect of the Cupping treatment and how quick the results occurred."
Considered a type of deep tissue massage, cupping can affect the body inches beneath the skin enabling it to be effective in releasing toxins.
It is believed to open up blockages in the meridian channels allowing for the free flow of energy (qi) and blood through the area.
A healthy energy flow of qi is thought to improve both the physical and mental well-being of the person.
Cupping causes the skin to temporarily redden and in cases of injury, can cause a purplish discoloration where the cup was placed.
Immediately upon entering, you feel at home.
It is a clean, warm and caring environment and every session I have ever had with Marie has been effective.
