In our clinic, you will experience patient-centered care delivered in a beautiful and nurturing environment designed to wash your daily stress away. Our treatments are derived from ancient roots, yet blended with modern medicine. Since 2003, we have delivered over 40,000 acupuncture treatments. My migraines started around 12 years ago when I was in college.

I suffered from them in my early teens but nothing like this. I was getting hospitalized about once or twice a month, blurred vision, deafening sounds, black outs, nausea to the point where I couldn't keep water down. The would drug me up for a few days to sleep it off, but no luck on stopping the migraine. After seeing a few specialists my migraines were under control; however I was taking 4 medications a day and more if I had a headache.

I could not consume too much caffeine, had to get a certain amount of sleep, etc, or else the migraines ruled my life. He met with me and was very realistic, he would give it a shot, but with my history there was a chance it wouldn't work.

About Naperville Acupuncture CenterOur clinic was founded in 2003 by Frank Grill, L.ac.
Our first location was at Universal Spirit Yoga, which we soon outgrew.
Following that, we moved to Ogden Avenue in Naperville before moving to our current location on Mill Street in 2011.
Since our opening we have given over 40,000 acupuncture treatments.
This amount of experience has allowed us to discover combinations of techniques that can be very effective in treating new or chronic health concerns.
Our treatments are based on a modern understanding of how the body works.
At Naperville Acupuncture Center, we take a contemporary approach to acupuncture.
We use an ancient therapy, but understand its mechanisms and effects using present-day scientific human physiology.
The goal of Chinese medicine is to identify the pattern underlying the symptoms, and then to correct the pattern.
The treatment begins with the consultation.
We find out what your health goals are and determine if acupuncture is a suitable treatment for you.
If it is, we take the time to explain to you how acupuncture works and what the treatment plan will be.
Bell's Palsy is a one sided paralysis of the face which comes on suddenly.
It is presumed that a virus inflames a nerve, causing it to swell and become compressed within the temporal bone.
It can cause weakness or complete paralysis.
It may be difficult to smile or close the eye completely.
The patient may also feel a numb or heavy feeling in the face.
At Naperville Acupuncture Center, we see an average of 2-3 patients per month with Bell's Palsy.
We treat every patient as an individual.
Acupuncture is used to improve the functioning of the nervous system, reduce inflammation, and lower stress (which may exacerbate Bell's Palsy).
As we get older, many of us experience injuries over the years that don't completely heal.
We get many slight injuries every year.
Even simple things like a fall or lifting something too heavy can leave us not being able to reach as far, squat as low, or bend as easily in our 40's (or beyond) as we did when we were young.
Not surprisingly, time takes a toll.
Most of these heal in a few days or weeks, and we completely forget about them.
Unfortunately, our body does NOT forget about them, and will often times create pain and inhibition (weakness) in the injured part.
Do you have heel pain?
This condition seems to have become an epidemic.
According to the Permanente Journal, plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain and has been estimated to affect about two million people in the US, resulting in more than one million visits to both primary care physicians and foot specialists!
Unsurprisingly, plantar fasciitis most often strikes people who work on their feet.
Surprisingly, it can hit even those who spend a lot of time sitting at work.
At its worst, it can prevent people from running, working, and even walking.
