Services
Acupuncture has been practiced in China for over 4000 years.
By insertion of small needles, that are as thin as hair strands, at acupuncture points, an acupuncturist balances the flow of energy (often referred to as Qi or Ki) in the body.
This restores the proper flow and balance of energy, allowing the body to naturally come into balance and correct the problem causing the health issue.
Therefore, the acupuncturist is not a healer, but a facilitator, and it is your body, mind and spirit that cure any disease.

Blending Traditional Approach with Modern Medicine Provides Supplemental Option for Patients' Care.
Cleveland Clinic has opened a Chinese Herbal Therapy Clinic, one of the first hospital-based herbal clinics in the U.S., to round out its integrative medicine services and provide supplementary options for patients seeking a holistic, natural approach to their care.
Changes to Ohio laws in 2012 opened the door for licensed Chinese herbal therapists to legally prescribe custom herb blends and traditional formulas within a clinical practice.

There are many different styles of acupuncture, all equally effective in their own right.
Certain practitioners prefer one over the other, and some will use the style that they feel is most fit for the patient and condition being treated, as I do.
Although acupuncture first started in China, it has, over centuries, spread to many Asian countries and thus there are many different and distinct styles (Japanese, Korean, Classical, Traditional Chinese Medicine style etc).
In my training at the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine, I have been fortunate to receive training in 3 different styles of acupuncture - Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Kiiko Japanese and Five Element Constitutional style.

If you were to ask me a few years ago, I cannot image I ever would be promoting acupuncture given my severe phobia of needles.
However, I was suffering from migraines monthly and the pain was so excruciating that I could not function for 2-3 days per month.
Given my busy lifestyle and that of my two children, I was eager and willing to try.
I was referred to Aleksandra from one of her patients who spoke very highly of her training and her willingness to answer questions.
Words cannot express how grateful I am to Aleksandra!
