How does Acupuncture work?
There are energy channels called meridians that originate with each organ and travel through the entire body.
Life-promoting 'substances' such as Qi circulate through these meridians to nourish and replenish every cell, tissue and organ in our body- as well as our mind and spirit!
Specific sites along these meridians are stimulated to either encourage the circulation of Qi to areas of the body that are stagnant, or to increase the strength of Qi in the areas that are depleted.

I've always wondered about acupuncture and finally decided to give it a go when I was days away from a big triathlon race I'd been training for and was having severe calf pain.
I'd heard of "dry needling" from a friend who had similar issues and found Karen on Yelp and someone else said she did this type of practice.
Karen was able to get me in quickly and I got two sessions in before my race.
Karen was thorough, knowledgable, shared information liberally and inspired confidence.
Most important, I raced and my calf held up pain-free after 140.6 miles of swimming, biking and running.
