Macular degeneration, a condition affecting the macula, leads to the loss of central vision, making everyday activities difficult. It can manifest in two forms: dry and wet. Diabetic retinopathy occurs when high blood sugar levels damage the blood vessels in the eye, causing fluid leakage. This leads to swelling in the retina, resulting in blurred vision. Both early and advanced stages of the disease require careful management of diabetes to reduce the risk of irreversible vision impairment. 
Myopia results in poor distance vision, though close objects remain clear. As a refractive error, it prevents the eye from bending light properly, leading to blurred images. This condition often appears in childhood, and in some cases, worsens during the teenage years. It affects approximately one-quarter of the American population. 
When a person experiences dry eyes, it typically results from an imbalance in tear production or drainage. Inadequate tear production or poor tear quality can lead to discomfort, eye irritation, and blurred vision. Its common in individuals over 65, though other factors like medications and environmental conditions can exacerbate the problem. 
By stimulating acupoints, acupuncture supports the body's ability to self-heal and function more effectively. Fine, sterile needles are typically used to target these specific points on the body. To intensify the benefits, techniques like heat, pressure, and electrical stimulation may be employed. Other methods for stimulating acupoints include manual massage, moxibustion, cupping, and herbal topical applications.

The holistic eye treatment provided by Dr. Gandapodi at Netra Eye Institute has been amazing. I came here with multiple eye complications and my vision that was continuously worsening, even after taking treatments with surgery, multiple injections and eye drops from my local eye doctor. In just about 4 weeks of starting the treatment at Netra Eye Institute, my vision has greatly improved from just seeing fingers at 2 feet to seeing a few lines on the vision chart.
My macular edema has completely disappeared, and my IOP has stabilized from 32 to 9. Before the treatment, I was walking like a zombie with tonnel vision. After the treatment, I am now able to move around the house with ease and run up and down the stairs like normal. My blurriness had considerably reduced, and my night vision, color, and depth perception had greatly improved.
I am highly optimistic about seeing further improvements with additional treatments. I would like to thank Dr. Gandapodi for helping me restore my failing vision. Dr. Sai is god-sent for me, when i had developed a vision issue that doesnt have a "name" in western medicine. I feel lucky to stumble on this gem searching for alternative treatments. Dr. Sai is not only an acupuncturist but has deep knowledge of traditional treatment styles in chinese, tibetan and ayurvedic medicines. Under his care, i am almost back up there doing my normal lifestyle.
He is very dedicated in helping his patients recover- to the extent that when the treatment demanded - he volunteered to open his office on weekends, just only for me. You are in good hands here.
