Active Integrative Medicine

I rarely take time to leave Google Reviews but, I wanted to ensure that I wrote out how thankful I am for Dr. Nimal's help at Active Integrative Medicine (AIM). I've played basketball my entire life and have never suffered an injury like I had 3 months ago. My right arm experienced a bit of nerve damage which negatively impacted both my personal & work life terribly.

After an evening in an ER, doctors appointments, x-rays/ultrasounds and a ton of prescribed painkillers - the issue was essentially left to me to find a specialist and begin the journey to full recovery. I met Dr. Nimal and she was extremely down to Earth; patient, both a great listener and conversationalist. She truly wanted to find the best solution towards remedying the crippling pain and for the first time in a long time (after having had numerous chiropractor experiences in the past) I felt cared for like a person, rather than simply another client in a long work day's agenda.

I've seen Dr. Nimal at minimum once per week, sometimes twice per week, for the past 3 months and I am so glad to be getting my life back on track as the summer is now finally beginning. She is such a thorough Chiropractor, and between that specific type of therapy, the Acupuncture that she provides as well, and what she has instructed me to complete at home in regards to personal exercises - they have truly made more of a difference than any painkiller could have benefited my scenario.

I'm truly thankful for my appointments and interactions with Dr. Nimal. I've lived in Durham Region for the past 10 years and I certainly believe that she is one of the greatest doctors here in our area. Thank you, Dr. Nimal, and to the team at Active Integrative Medicine.

The practitioners at AIM are the absolute BEST! I have been seeing both of the Dr. Lesters for a while now for my back and neck adjustments and massages. They both are superb in there knowledge and experts in there respective fields and for the price is fantastic. I highly recommend heading over to AIM!

Dr. Nimal was extremely professional and thorough in addressing my concerns about my footwear and standing on my feet all day for work. She did an amazing job identifying and understanding my foot problems. She casted and created an orthotic that actually works! There were some concerns I had with the orthotic after receiving them, and Dr. Nimal promptly took the orthotics back and had them adjusted by the manufacturer to my liking. She is fast, friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly very caring. I would highly recommend her services, thank you Dr. Nimal!

I've tried 3 different RMT's at different clinics in Pickering and have finally found one that I am absolutely thrilled about! If you're looking for an experienced RMT for deep tissue massage, the AIM clinic is for you!

Dr. Nimal is talented, patient and kind. She has excellent communication skills which helped me in understanding my pain, how to manage it and techniques to assist with healing. At no time did she get distracted, leave the room, or make me feel rushed. Her sole focus was on me and my health care needs. Dr Nimal not only focussed on methods to lessen my symptoms, but she placed a lot of emphasis on getting to the root cause of my pain issue. I highly recommend Dr. Nimal. She is truly wonderful.

Dr. Diane Peters provided a good explanation of my symptoms and asked pertinent questions. The only critique was the problem with the technology (Jane) that didn't allow for video and then cut out mid-call. Otherwise, I would highly recommend!

This wasn't quite the same as an in-person appointment, but I did find it excellent and a great tool for communicating and sharing some of the issues I am dealing with. The screen sharing and ability to have my web-cam in hand also were very useful. Obviously this is also very convenient and safe!

Naturpath, Dr Diane Peters is fantastic! She has genuine intention to improve your health. Professional yet extremely friendly.

A.I.M is incredible! I go to A.I.M about once a month for a massage. I have been to both of their RMTs and they are both amazing. The staff is friendly, and during these COVID times, they are very safe and I feel more than comfortable. Definitely reccomend!

Chiropractic works! Dr. Darrin Germann treated me for a nagging neck and shoulder injury and with only a couple of treatments, and by following his advice and suggestions, I am now pain-free! He's thorough, professional, caring, and very personable! I highly recommend him!
