Shoreline Acupuncture is a private acupuncture practice which specializes in reducing neck, back, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle and foot pain. We use multiple diagnostic methods including Traditional Chinese Medicinal tongue and pulse, Korean Kyojung, and Western orthopedic tests in order to differentiate your areas of concern. Medical massage is also available, along with modalities such as cupping, moxibustion, and guasha if indicated. We pride ourselves in providing individual attention at each treatment in order to “correct the structure, correct the meridians and correct your health".

Acupuncture is well known to alleviate pain. Hair-thin needles are used in specific locations on the body depending on the diagnosis of your tongue, pulse, and medical diagnosis. The acupuncturist will observe the shape, color, wetness, coat of your tongue, and the feel of your pulse. These determine other factors that may be contributing to your pain. If indicated, other modalities may be used such as cupping, moxibustion, guasha, and patent herbs.

I started going to see Lisa for acupuncture when I couldn't take the pain of my plantar fasciitis anymore. After a few treatments of the needles and gua sha, the pain had healed completely in one foot. Lisa then tried something different to help my other foot since it was still in pain. After a few rounds of the new treatment, the pain in that foot is finally gone as well. Aside from helping with my pain, the treatment was relaxing and comforting. Everything was clean and comfortable. Lisa is very professional and I always felt like I was in good hands. I also saw Marissa a few times. She is very comforting and has great bedside manner!

What a wonderful experience! The space is beautiful, so clean and inviting. I was greeted and treated by Lisa for back pain, neck pain and cosmetic acupuncture. I was so impressed with her knowledge, her healing touch and her practitioner to patient rapport! Lisa and Luis, (the massage therapist in the office) make the experience bright, effective and friendly. Thanks so much for your healing touch. To be honest, I had never done acupuncture before. I wasn't sure what to expect. But I had some searing back pain and was ready to try anything! To sum it up, the experience was great. My acupuncturist (Lisa) took some time to assess my issues and come up with a customized plan for me. Everything from the needles, to those suction cup things, and even laying me down on a PVC pipe to create a deep stretch.
What was really mind-blowing was that she recognized issues with me that I didn't even mention. She had explanations for issues that I've had for years that my GP doctor had no clue what was going on. I've only had the one treatment so far but already feel better. Looking forward to the next one too. I think moving forward, I'll probably do this a couple times a year as maintenance to stay ahead of my problems.

I have been seeing Lisa for a short period of time. I have some experience with other practitioners, so I was immediately impressed with Lisa's mix of professionalism and empathy. I get the feeling that she truly cares about my well being, and is highly competent in her method of treatment. Her office is clean and inviting (I especially enjoy the music which helps me to be deeply relaxed).

I initially met Lisa at a prior practicing location for acupuncture treatment of severe foot tendonitis. From that first visit, I felt confidence in her care - she was determined to help me with the pain. Furthermore, she invests so much of herself in understanding the patient; she works with your goals and strives to help you achieve them.
When Lisa opened her beautiful new practice on Bellmore Avenue, I simply continued to meet her there for my treatments; seeking help elsewhere was never a consideration. I recovered nicely from the foot issue, but then hurt my right shoulder - a complicated series of ailments called Swimmers Shoulder. Lisa acknowledged this new situation with her typical professional demeanor - her empathy, her determination to bring relief and healing, her kindness and genuine regard for her patient's comfort is so vital to one's recovery. My stories should make it clear that Lisa's knowledge of the human body - its design, its functioning, how to help it heal - is remarkable.
