I have eighteen years of experience providing patient-centered wellness care and injury rehabilitation. In my office, emphasis is placed not only on the physical aspect of a condition, but on its emotional and chemical components as well. All play a role in reducing the body's natural ability to adapt to challenges in health. My practice style often incorporates Somatic Experiencing and aspects of Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga that I have adapted for chiropractic.

Both of these modalities can be described as embodied, "bottom-up" approaches to working with nervous system dysregulation and trauma. I also provide acupuncture which can be very helpful for regulating the nervous system and supporting chiropractic treatments. An important part of my work involves helping patients develop an interoceptive (internal felt sense) connection to their bodies.

As a patient's interoceptive awareness increases, so does the capacity to listen to their body's needs, and they can take effective action in relation to those needs.
Services
I am a licensed chiropractor, and I am certified by the MBCE to perform acupuncture.
I have additional training through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and I am trained in the Webster Technique for treating pregnant mothers.
I received my chiropractic and acupuncture education through Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, MN.
I have completed the three year Somatic Experiencing Professional Trauma Training Program.
I currently offer Somatic Experiencing sessions in my office.
My Grandmother's Hands: Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts and Bodies.
Nurturing Resilience: Helping Clients Move Forward from Developmental Trauma - An Integrative Somatic Approach.
The Polyvagal Theory: Neurophysiological Foundations of Emotions, Attachment, Communication, Self-Regulation.
Trauma Through a Child's Eyes: Awakening the Ordinary Miracle of Healing, Infancy through Adolescence.
Somatic Experiencing (SE) can be used very effectively when working with single-event traumas (car accidents, falls, assaults, medical procedures, etc) and developmental or complex traumas (more prolonged issues often stemming from chronic stress or recurring traumas during childhood, while in utero or later in life).
SE principles can also play an important role when addressing issues like intergenerational transmission of collective and historical traumas, systemic traumas (racism, patriarchy, mass incarceration, colonialism, etc) and war/refugee traumas.
Through my own unique lens and personal/professional experiences as a chiropractor of 18 years, I currently offer Somatic Experiencing sessions to assist other chiropractors as they navigate challenges that keep them from experiencing the type of Success and Vitality that they had imagined for themselves upon deciding to become DC's.
Somatic Experiencing sessions can be held online over Zoom.
Or, when possible, sessions can be held in-person at either my Minnesota or California location.
I am available to meet in person, over the phone or via Zoom to discuss patient cases in which trauma history is suspected or known.
This group provides opportunities for men to gather and connect through Somatic Sharing, Feedback and Tracking of the Relational Field.
There is a requirement that anyone joining this group has done Individual Somatic Experiencing work with me or has previously participated in one of my Somatic Experiencing Men's Groups.
This group is for White Men who truly and deeply care about ending racism in all of its forms and who want to experience how engaging in Somatic Antiracism work can lead to personal empowerment, collective mobilization and societal change.
