Services
Junrong (Julia) Chen grew up in South China where her father worked as a physician.
When she was young, Julia used to go to the clinic to watch him work.
Her father combined Chinese and Western medicine to provide personalized treatment.
And when his patients left the clinic, they were usually much happier than when they arrived.
Julia learned from her father's dedication how important doctors are in helping patients gain comfort and confidence in dealing with their afflictions.
When Julia first observed her father perform acupuncture, she imagined the needles would frighten the patients.

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medicine that uses needles inserted in the skin to relieve pain and treat a variety of conditions.
Practitioners believe the human body has more than 2,000 acupuncture points that are connected by pathways or meridians.
Inserting needles in certain points stimulates the flow of energy (Qi) and improves health.
After learning about your symptoms and health history, the doctor typically inserts four to ten FDA-approved, sterile, disposable needles into your skin.
Chinese have used natural herbs to treat medical ailments for thousands of years.
Even with the development of Western medicine, Chinese herbs continue to be a natural alternative to pharmaceutical drugs.
Chinese herbs can treat minor illnesses and boost the immune system.
And when combined with Western medicine, they can treat more complicated conditions, including post-surgical recovery, chronic respiratory and gastrointestinal conditions.
During your visit, we ask questions to assess your current medical condition.
When you arrive for an appointment, the doctor will ask about your condition, symptoms, and medical history.
She will then perform a full-body exam: checking your tongue, pulse, and points of concern.
This is to help the doctor personalize your treatment.
The doctor typically places three to seven cups on your body.
Usually, the doctor positions the cups on the back and sometimes shifts them during treatment.
The cups are left in place for around ten minutes while you rest.
Cupping creates a temporary dark mark over the treated area.
