The word Chiropractic derives from Greek words meaning "done by hand". The chiropractic philosophy is based around the concept that the body is controlled by the nervous system and brain. Since the nervous system is enclosed in the spinal column, specifically vertebra, it is possible that the information coming from the brain can become interrupted by various misalignments along the way.
Our job as a chiropractors is to recognize these interruptions and to restore the correct alignment. Although chiropractic is mostly associated with back issues, other joints throughout the body can also become misaligned and in most cases create pain.
