I am a Wyoming native and my family has made a living in the Big Horn Basin for six generations. It was in my mid-40's that my husband urged me to return to school and take my interest in natural medicine to the next level. After much research, we moved to Sarasota Florida in 2002, where I completed a five-year Master's Degree in Oriental Medicine at East West College of Natural Medicine.
The coursework consisted of 2,059 classroom hours and 916 clinical hours. Our classes were small, 20 students, and we had the best PhD Chinese teachers. East West was named School of the Year by the national certification association while I was there. I graduated at the top of my class with a grade point average of 3.95. After graduation, I remained in Sarasota to complete an additional medical clinic internship under Chinese doctors in order to expand my clinical experience.
I returned to Wyoming with the tools necessary to open my own general practice. To date, I have treated more than 1,100 patients with more than 10,000 treatments.
