More people have been treated with acupuncture than any other healing modality available today. Traditional Chinese Medicine is one of the oldest forms of medicine that is in practice today. It is common and natural to feel apprehension when first considering acupuncture treatment - after all, we are going to stick you with needles! What you may not be aware of is that those needles are incredibly thin and if you feel any discomfort at all it will feel like a slight pinch and only for a second or two.

Once the needles are placed a sense of calm and relaxation occurs, allowing the mind and body to heal. This is not a treatment that requires many sessions to begin to feel an improvement - we expect relief within 1-3 treatments and reassess with the goal of maintenance at that point. Maintenance is different for each individual.

One person may need to come in a few weeks, another may not need to come back for several months and some may never need treatment again for the same condition, but they often come in for balance.
Services
We commonly treat patients with conditions treated unsuccessfully by traditional Western Medicine and, in fact, receive many referrals from local medical practitioners.
Conditions such as hormonal imbalance, insomnia, anxiety/depression, low back pain, sciatica, arthritis, and infertility, to name a few, have been successfully treated through the use of acupuncture often combined with herbal remedies, exercise and dietary recommendations.
We also work in partnership with primary care physicians to help reduce or eliminate patient medications for conditions such as fibromyalgia, depression, migraine headaches, sleep disorders, GERD, IBS, and many more.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a complete medical system that has been used to diagnose, treat, and prevent illnesses for more than 2,000 years.
TCM is based on a belief in yin and yang, defined as opposing energies, such as earth and heaven, winter and summer, and happiness and sadness.
When yin and yang are in balance, you feel relaxed and energized.
Out of balance, however, yin and yang negatively affect your health.
No matter what your presenting signs and symptoms are, the goal in TCM is balance, or harmony.
