In WASHINGTON, Acupuncture is an ESSENTIAL HEALTH BENEFIT, meaning that all health care plans purchased in Washington after 2014 are supposed to have acupuncture coverage.
Depending on the kind of health insurance you have, you may only pay a copay for your treatment.
Copays usually range anywhere from $10-50, depending on the insurance plan.
If you have co-insurance, you may be billed for a percentage of the treatment cost, after insurance has paid their portion.
If your policy has a deductible, you may pay the cash rates for your visits until the deductible has been meet.
