What Should I Bring to My First Treatment?
A list of your current medications and relevant medical reports is helpful.
Bring a list with you or list your medications and supplements on our intake form, which can be filled out in our office.
How Else Should I Prepare for My First Treatment?
1. Wear loose comfortable clothing.
Patient gowns are available, but many treatments can be performed while you are in your street clothes.
2. Refrain from eating large meals just before or after your visit.
But don't arrive too hungry either.
At your first visit, you and your acupuncturist will review your main issues as well as family and personal history.
Your acupuncturist will answer any questions and give you a prognosis.
Then the two of you will develop a treatment plan that works for you.
Your first treatment, including acupuncture and/or herbal consultation, will then follow.
Your first visit will take about 90 minutes.
You and your acupuncturist will evaluate the progress of your condition and you will receive appropriate treatment based on the diagnosis.

Also called grounding, this technique is fascinating in its simplicity.
A large body of scientific research supports the recommendation of getting yourself into electrical contact with the Earth.
This could take the form of walking barefoot in your back yard, or using grounding sheets or heel straps to stay electrically connected while you're sleeping or wearing shoes.
This is a simple yet powerful technique from the tradition of Yoga, used to gain deeper insight into life.
