In over 38 years of acupuncture practice, I have had the privilege of working with thousands of patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly. Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine have enabled me to provide holistic medical care, treating the whole person as well as addressing the symptoms that lead someone to seek out acupuncture.
Patients' chief complaints have ranged from acute to chronic conditions, including back pain, sports and accident injuries, arthritis, headaches, asthma, fatigue, digestive problems, sinus infections, women's health issue and many others.I believe that open communication is essential to developing a positive therapeutic relationship. It's important that my patients know they are being heard, and that I want to learn the underlying story, not just the list of symptoms.
This enables us to develop an optimal healing environment. We can then work together on a treatment plan that uniquely fulfills the patient's needs. Treatment may include acupuncture, non needle therapies such as magnets, electrical stimulation, moxibustion (heat therapy), cupping, or gua sha (a massage technique), as well as Chinese herbal medicine, qi gong, and dietary recommendations.
