Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles into the skin. The body responds to acupuncture with a cascade of wide reaching responses in immune function, neurochemistry, blood flow, changes in the peripheral and central nervous system, etc. These system wide responses are why acupuncture is helpful for so many health conditions. Photonic Acupuncture (Light Therapy) is a modern technology that utilizes a therapeutic red light to stimulate traditional acupoints.

We provide this treatment in addition to acupuncture during treatments. It is also provided as stand alone treatment, for those who require needle free treatment. Cupping is the application of suction cups to the skin. It is used to relax muscles and improve blood and energy flow to areas of chronic tension and muscle tightness. The intensity of suction can be modified from mild to intense.

Most people find cupping to be a relaxing experience. Chinese Herbal Medicine was a significant portion of all 3 years of Ann and Steve's graduate program on Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

How acupuncture works.
Acupuncture is Relaxing- People are surprised that acupuncture is relaxing, comfortable, and for most, completely pain free.
The needles used in treatment are as thin as a piece of hair and are inserted gently.
We take extra time to ensure the comfort of sensitive clients or those who are nervous about needles.
