Mohave Acupuncture and Herbal Therapy is located in downtown Dolan Springs, Arizona and serves its local area as well as all of northern Mohave County, including: Kingman, Golden Valley, Bullhead City, outlying areas - and visitors to the area. We offer personalized care in a comprehensive format. An in-depth intake is used to formulate care and our patients appreciate the one-on-one approach.

Acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy, Gua Sha (scraping), Tui Na (massage), and diet and lifestyle can all be integrated as needed. Barbara Laughlin brings years of training and experience - and the results show. Specialties include all musculoskeletal complaints, such as pain, old or new injuries, tendinitis, sciatica, spine and joint problems, and more.

We also have a good track record with infertility, menstrual problems and other women's health issues. Anxiety, insomnia and internal health problems like tremors also respond well. Please refer to the patient testimonials to see the successes of this practitioner.

I am a Wyoming native and my family has made a living in the Big Horn Basin for six generations.
It was in my mid-40's that my husband urged me to return to school and take my interest in natural medicine to the next level.
After much research, we moved to Sarasota Florida in 2002 where I completed a five-year Master's Degree in Oriental Medicine at East West College of Natural Medicine.
The coursework consisted of 2,059 classroom hours and 916 clinical hours.
Our classes were small, 20 students, and we had the best PhD Chinese teachers.
Most people barely feel a thing when needles are inserted.
Some people feel a slight pinch, and others ask "Is it in yet?"
The reason acupuncture needles don't give the painful sensation you might expect is because they're very, very thin in comparison to the hypodermic needles used to give injections.
Hypodermic needles are necessarily hollow so that the shot can be injected.
They also have a very blunt point (actually a wedge shape) in comparison to an acupuncture needle.
Forty acupuncture needles can fit into the tip of one standard 18 gauge hypodermic needle.
Acupuncture is a 5,000 year old science of insertion of needles into the body in specific spots in order to effect healing.
The earliest needles may have been made of bamboo, then as metal began to be shaped, the filiform needle developed.
Today, we use a sterile thin solid stainless steel needle that comes in a variety of gauges and lengths.
Needles may be placed in or near to the place on the body where the dysfunction is as well as on more distant places on the body that refer back to that area.
Dr. Barbara is an absolute treasure.
I have been living with anxiety and depression since childhood, and decided to try acupuncture to help treat it.
I was so very lucky to find Dr. Barbara!
I could not believe the results of her treatments.
I felt such improvement of mood, and general wellbeing.
She also improved my sleep immensely.
Being as we are, in the age of the lightning fast Dr's office visit, it is most refreshing to sit down in Barbara's office and discuss your concerns thoroughly with ease.
