Wellstone Acupuncture
Wellstone is the translation of my last name, Bornstein. This name embodies my treatment goal: to build up the foundation of wellness for each patient that I see. Today, new research has helped refine the medical art of acupuncture and Chinese herbs which has brought wellness to people for thousands of years. I work with my patients - and their doctors if they'd like - to provide the best and most up to date oriental medicine that treats each individual as a whole.

Whether it's helping you conceive, recover from surgery, or reduce stress in your daily life, I'll work with you as your health advocate and commit to designing a treatment plan to meet your individual needs.

Helen is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in acupuncture and Chinese herbology and is licensed by the state of Colorado.
While receiving her Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine, she specialized in obstetrics and gynecology, sports medicine, and Dr. Tan's Pain Management Balance Method.
However, she treats a wide variety of internal health concerns and orthopedic pain, and looks to help both men and women with fertility planning.
Wellstone Acupuncture aims to give every patient an individualized treatment to meet their needs.
We take the time to listen to your concerns, applying the best that Chinese medicine has to offer.
Your needs are our first priority, whether you have an injury, a women's health concern, an illness, a chronic condition, or just need some stress relief.

Chinese herbs are the second major component to Oriental Medicine.
Individual herbs, mostly made of flowers, fruits, barks, roots, leaves, stems, or minerals, have been shown in many scientific studies to benefit a wide variety of illnesses, pain types, and conditions.
When herbs are combined together, they create an herbal formula.
Herbal formulas are designed for each individual condition and patient.
Different herbs may treat the condition directly, guide the activity of the herb to a particular location in the body, or ameliorate any side effects of other herbs in the formula.
At Wellstone Acupuncture, we respect the ancient history of acupuncture as well as modern techniques and studies that have shown how acupuncture treatments can bring wellness to patients.
It is our belief that the integration of Western and Eastern medicine is the future of modern health care.
Today's acupuncture provides a comprehensive medical system that can promote healing by balancing each patient's body, mind, and emotional states, truly strengthening the foundation of each person.
Studies conducted worldwide indicate that acupuncture can stimulate the body's production of natural painkilling chemicals, such as endorphins.
Wellstone Acupuncture is committed to bringing you up-to-date evidence-based information.
