She apprenticed with her father and received her acupuncture license from the state of Colorado in 2002. Nhu has been practicing ever since. She also received more than five years of special training under renowned acupuncturists. In addition to acupuncture, Nhu performs fire cupping and gua sha. She also worked in an internal medicine clinic for five years assisting medical doctors and has a bachelor's degree in biology.
