Our mission at Acupuncture Healing Center is to provide our patients with an integrated and holistic approach to healing. We enrich our patients' lives by providing the highest quality alternative medicine modalities so they can enjoy their best life. Dr. Shaun Dumas founded Acupuncture Healing Center in 2003 in order to make a difference in the lives of people.

With TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), Dr. Dumas has helped her patients enjoy the quality of life they deserve. Acupuncture Healing Center offers a variety of services to patients in Sarasota and Manatee counties in sunny Florida. I went into the hospital for colon surgery. Prior to entering the hospital I received acupuncture treatments from Shaun Dumas to prepare my body for surgery.

I wanted to let you know how grateful I am to you for introducing me to your detox and weight loss program. I not only lost 30 pounds in the 40 day program, but feel wonderful! A unique style of acupuncture, but more noteworthy is Shaun Dumas' keen abilities to hone in on accurate and precise points.

Acupuncture promotes natural healing.
It can enhance recuperative power and immunity, support physical and emotional health, and improve overall function and well-being.
It is a safe, painless and effective way to treat a wide variety of medical problems.
At the core of this ancient medicine is the philosophy that Qi (pronounced "chee"), or vital energy, flows throughout the body.
According to Chinese medical theory, the symptoms and signs that indicate a Western diagnosis of allergies relate to imbalances in the meridian and Organ Systems of the body.
These imbalances may stem from a variety of causes, including stress, poor diet, constitutional weakness, pollutants and environmental toxins.
Over time, if imbalances remain within the body, they will affect the functions of the Organ Systems.
Some of these Organ Systems are involved in the production of Wei Qi (pronounced "way chee").
Acupuncture has been employed as a health care modality for over 5,000 years.
Modern science has begun to understand the secrets of this ancient medicine with the support of new studies conducted by leading scientists, hospitals and medical research facilities from all over the world.
Today, acupuncture is receiving wide acceptance as a respected, valid and effective form of health care.
In a systematic review published by Spine Journal, acupuncture has been shown to have significantly favorable effects on chronic low back pain.
