At one time or another, we all experience an injury, illness or just natural "wear and tear" that negatively impacts our lives. During these times we look to medicine and doctors to diagnose and treat us, but many times the treatments we receive are ineffective: at best, they provide temporary relief for our discomfort; at worst, they can lead to additional problems or side effects.

This is because today, many doctors are taught to treat symptoms rather than root causes. Imagine your body is like a tree full of green leaves. The tree gets plenty of sunlight and water and thrives for many months. Then all of a sudden, the leaves start turning brown and dying. An expert gardener comes along and examines the tree. The gardener then starts painting the leaves green and, after finishing the task, proclaims the tree healed.

Sounds crazy doesn't it? Unfortunately, while modern medicine is undoubtedly very beneficial, it often approaches the treatment of disease or chronic pain in the same manner: eliminate or alleviate the symptoms without addressing the root causes.
Services
I exist to help people heal.
Medicine is both "science" and "art."
The science of medicine entails using acquired knowledge and skills to diagnose the origins of a disease and to understand how the body will respond to treatments.
However, it is the art of medicine, which comes to fruition through compassion and creativity which leads to hope, restoration, and true healing to a person.
I believe my unique background coupled with my specialization in Classical Chinese Medicine equips me with the best "science" and "art" to bring holistic healing to a patient's mind, body, and spirit.
Dr. Chang has an exceptional background in Chinese Medicine, a synergy of intricate knowledge and extensive experience.
With over 10 years of clinical experience, Dr. Chang is one of a handful of acupuncturists in the United States with a Doctorate Degree in Acupuncture.
Dr. Chang holds a Bachelor of Science from Columbia University in New York City, a Master of Science from the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences and a Doctorate Degree in Acupuncture from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
Acupuncture is a form of Chinese Medicine originating in ancient China that has been used successfully for over 3,000 years.
Acupuncture is a safe, painless and effective way to promote natural healing and treat a wide variety of medical problems by correcting imbalances in the body's organs and clearing out any blockages or pathogens obstructing the flow of Qi.
Qi is the vital energy that flows through all 74 pathways of the entire body.
When a person blushes, that tingling sensation is the Qi and blood rushing to the face.
I was looking for a doctor to help me with weight loss, stress, and back pain.
After meeting Dr. Chang I felt confident and trust in his skills.
In a matter of 3 months I lost 24 pounds and no longer suffered from back pain.
In addition to my weight loss, my self esteem has been boosted!
I feel my improvements are due to Dr. Chang's knowledge of the human body, his support, and his encouragement.
I recommend Dr. Chang very highly and have no words to express my gratitude for the extremely high quality of his care and support.
