Services
After dealing with infertility for 3 years, having every treatment imaginable (including both fresh and frozen IVF procedures), suffering multiple miscarriages and spending thousands of dollars, my husband and I were both desperate and discouraged.
We both began to think that children just were not going to be a part of our future.
A friend told me about a woman who saw Rachel for fertility issues and encouraged me to seek Rachel's help.
My husband and I decided to do just one more IVF cycle.
I thought that having acupuncture certainly could not hurt our chances for success.
An ideal adjunct to chiropractic care, acupuncture is used to correct health problems that seem to be caused by disruption to energy pathways in your body called meridians.
This centuries-old healing procedure focuses on the integrity of bodily systems.
Many Medical Doctors and Chiropractors who practice acupuncture are not Licensed Acupuncturists, and are only required to obtain between 50-150 hours of training in the technical use of acupuncture prior to using it as a treatment.
Currently, the state of California requires a minimum of 3,200 hours of education and clinical training prior to sitting for the California Acupuncture License Exam.
It Works - For acute and chronic conditions, for the young and old, research supports that millions of people have benefited.
2. It's Safe - Oriental Medicine is a natural modality that enhances the body's innate healing abilities with little to no side effects.
Less Side Effects- Unlike all pharmaceuticals, Chinese herbs, acupuncture and other OM treatments do not have side effects that are uncomfortable or dangerous.
Side effects are an indication that medications are disrupting the way the body is functioning.
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), nothing in the human body functions independently.
Pain is the body's warning alarm that tells you something is wrong.
If you ignore your body's alarm, like ignoring a fire alarm in your house, severe problems can occur.
Human body functions are dependent on the life force energy or chi.
Chi and blood flow through the meridian system, nourishing body tissues and helping them function.
If the body is beset with disease or injury, pathological symptoms will appear which affect the organs and meridians.
Tendons are cords of fibrous tissue that connect muscles to bones in the proximity of joints.
When your muscles contract, it is the tendon that transmits the force.
In the context of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the tendons empower one to utilize one's will to direct the exertion of muscular strength.
They are crucial to human movement and biomechanical stabilization.
Repetitive activity, overuse of specific joints, and physical trauma could lead to tears within a tendon and consequently inflammation, pain, weakness, and swelling.
