Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Many acupuncture points are below the knees and elbows, so they are easily accessible.
Also, make sure you eat before your treatment and avoid vigorous exercise for 1-2 hours before and after treatment.
Our treatment is extremely gentle and well-tolerated by even the most sensitive patients.
Please let us know if you are afraid of needles so that we can tailor your treatment appropriately.

During our first session, we'll discuss any current complaints you're having, including any current or past medical conditions, and come up with an appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan.
This initial consultation lasts about 45 minutes and is followed by an acupuncture treatment (30 minutes).
Wear loose or comfortable clothing for easy access to acupuncture points below the knees and elbows.
If you need to take off any clothes, an appropriate drape or gown will be provided to you.
Also, make sure you eat before the treatment; acupuncture can leave you feeling light-headed on an empty stomach.
Though we are not contracted with any insurance companies, we are happy to provide you with a specialized receipt ("Super-bill") for your insurance company that includes all the necessary information.
We recommend you contact your insurance carrier to determine whether or not they will reimburse you for acupuncture care for "out-of-network providers."
Typically, flexible benefits (flex spend) accounts will allow any and all acupuncture services.
Herbal supplements are also usually a covered benefit.
